About AnjKreb

AnjKreb is a Nigeria-based public health and practical knowledge platform founded by Adeyinka Joseph Alonge. We publish clear, evidence-informed articles that help readers understand important health, science, technology and everyday knowledge topics.

Our goal is to turn complex information into practical guidance that readers can understand and use. We place particular emphasis on issues affecting individuals, families, communities and health systems in Nigeria and across Africa, while also serving readers from other parts of the world.

What We Cover

AnjKreb publishes content across several closely connected areas:

  • HIV, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases

  • Maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health

  • Public health programmes and health systems

  • Digital health, technology and healthcare innovation

  • Mental health and evidence-based wellness

  • Public health education, careers and professional development

  • Practical knowledge for healthier everyday living

Our main focus is public health and practical health education. We also cover selected science, technology and general knowledge topics when they provide clear and useful information for our readers.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve access to understandable, useful and trustworthy information.

We aim to help readers make better-informed decisions, ask better questions and engage more confidently with health services, healthcare professionals, programmes and institutions.

We recognise that access to reliable information is particularly important in settings where misinformation, health-literacy gaps and differences in access to healthcare can make informed decision-making more difficult.

Our Editorial Approach

We aim to publish information that is accurate, responsible, understandable and relevant.

Health articles are developed using recognised public-health guidance, national policies, peer-reviewed research, government health information and other credible sources where appropriate.

Sources may include organisations such as the World Health Organization, Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, other recognised public-health agencies, professional organisations and peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Sources are selected according to the subject being discussed, and important claims are supported with references where appropriate.

We aim to distinguish established evidence from emerging research, interpretation or practical guidance.

Medical Information

Health information published on AnjKreb is intended for general educational and informational purposes.

It does not provide individual medical diagnosis or treatment and should not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional who can assess a person's individual circumstances.

Where appropriate, our health articles identify symptoms or situations that may require professional assessment or urgent medical attention.

Readers should seek appropriate healthcare when they have concerns about their health rather than relying solely on information found online.

Please read our Medical Disclaimer for additional information.

Reviewing and Updating Our Content

Health information changes as new research, policies and clinical or public-health recommendations emerge.

We therefore review and update important articles when significant evidence, guidance or recommendations change.

Older articles may also be substantially revised when our editorial standards develop or when additional information is needed to make an article more accurate, useful or responsible.

Where significant errors are identified, we aim to correct them promptly.

Readers who notice potentially inaccurate, outdated or unclear information are encouraged to contact us.

About the Founder

Adeyinka Joseph Alonge is a Nigerian public-health professional, researcher and writer with more than eight years of experience in public-health programming, prevention services, community health, surveillance and health-systems strengthening.

He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and has professional and research interests spanning HIV prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, digital health, programme management, implementation science and health policy.

His professional experience includes translating health data, programme evidence and technical guidance into practical actions for health workers, programme teams, communities and decision-makers.

This experience informs AnjKreb's emphasis on practical public-health communication and the translation of technical information into language that can be understood by wider audiences.

Our History

AnjKreb was established in October 2016 by Adeyinka Joseph Alonge.

The website began as a general-information blog covering health, lifestyle, education and other practical topics.

Over time, AnjKreb has developed a stronger editorial focus on public health, evidence-informed health education, digital health, science and practical knowledge.

This evolution reflects both the founder's professional experience and our commitment to improving the quality, usefulness and reliability of information available to readers.

Our archive includes articles originally published during earlier stages of the website. Older content is periodically reviewed, expanded, corrected or updated to reflect current editorial and evidence standards.

Our Commitment to Readers

AnjKreb is committed to:

  • explaining complex subjects in clear and accessible language;

  • using credible and relevant sources;

  • distinguishing educational information from individual medical advice;

  • avoiding unsupported or misleading health claims;

  • correcting significant errors when identified;

  • reviewing important health information when recommendations change;

  • separating editorial content from advertising or sponsored material;

  • respecting reader privacy; and

  • clearly identifying commercial relationships where they exist.

Our aim is not simply to publish more information. We want each article to answer a meaningful question and provide readers with information they can understand, evaluate and use responsibly.

Editorial Independence and Advertising

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors and commercial relationships.

Advertising or sponsorship does not determine the conclusions or health recommendations presented in our editorial content.

Where content is sponsored or contains a material commercial relationship, we aim to identify that relationship clearly.

For more information, please read our Advertising Policy.

Corrections and Feedback

Accuracy matters to us.

If you believe an AnjKreb article contains an error, outdated recommendation, broken reference or other significant problem, please contact us and identify the article concerned.

We will review credible correction requests and update content where appropriate.

Constructive feedback about how our articles can be made clearer or more useful is also welcome.
